English Premier League side, Manchester City on Tuesday confirmed that a deal has been sealed with Borussia Dortmund to bring Erling Haaland to Etihad this summer.
Manchester City confirmed the development in a post on their official Twitter account.
It read: “Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.
“The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.”
A clause in his contract means Haaland is available for just £62m this summer.
The club manager, Pep Guardiola will be pleased to sign Haaland after failing to land Harry Kane for £150m last summer.
Naija News had earlier reported that the Norwegian professional footballer completed and passed medicals at Manchester City on Monday.
Haaland has long been linked with a transfer to one of the European elites, but Man City made a smart move for the forward to beat other competitors.
